The usual oversimplification

The usual oversimplification insists that everything is evolution. Well no. Language for instance is not a product of physical evolution, though our capacity to develop it is. Language itself is a cultural product, and underlying it is human consciousness. That continues not to have an evolutionary explanation, though it eventually should. But the oversimplifications in this article are typical of what prevents grasping that particular nettle.
