The basic cause of a civil war today is the disintegration of democracy. In France we trust the government less and less; there is a percentage of the population that indulges in the politics of resentment, à la Republican Party (US); and we have a history of unrest. So I think your article is salutary, but by no means is a civil war in the offing in France. But in 2027?
