Thanks for your comment. I suppose "perish" could refer to hell... or it could mean what some theologians believe is not eternal damnation, but rather annihilation.

Perosnally, I think CS Lewis had it right in The Great Divorce that hell's gates are locked from the inside. If it exists, there are not a lot of people there.
