Thank you for this article. Well said! I would take issue with one premise, which is that we believers need God's rules to be moral. Christianity is at heart a religion that proclaims that God loves you and invites you to reciprocate, both to God and others around you… "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law."

But Christians are all too often the living proof against what we proclaim, so we need to be humble. Atheists too — the most murderous governments have been those officially atheist.
