Seeing as European defense spending has favored US weaponry, the American pivot away from NATO will cost its industries. The Big Five (Grumman, etc.) are woefully overstuffed with DoD cash, and have had DC sewed up for decades. They are not ready for what's coming, especially since European defense firms are going to grow in innovation and financial power.
