In my active ministry as parish priest, I always had a therapist on speed dial. As bishop, I required my clergy to have access to therapists, including paying for therapy after traumatic experiences. And of course I went to one regularly.

Therapists are only human too, and be harmful. But they can fulfill the scripture that advises "Confess to one another..." (James 5: 16) So much for those who think therapy is demonic—more prosperity gospel claptrap.
