As for GPT-5's supposed intelligence, I still do not see how it is different than a "stochastic parrot". It does not care about the truth or falsity of statements: it does not care at all. Human intelligence begins with feelings that engage thinking.
On the other hand, it should be perfectly reasonable to accept that we are not the smartest creature in the universe, because our own minds tell us that we make stupid mistakes for various reasons: inattention, unquestioning, unjudging, irresponsible... biases of various kinds... and just plain ol' finitude.
We don't need a machine we created to tell us that.
