I recommend you read Bernard Lonergan, Insight: A study in human understanding (U. of Toronto Press). You would appreciate how he uses examples from mathematics and physics to help the readers discover the inner dynamic of their minds. Time Magazine in 1971 called him the finest philosopher of the 20th century... today there are 12 Lonergan study centers around the world.
