I have used Apple products since the IIe, and bought my first IIc with an ImageWriter I in 1983 (for $2400!). I have never looked back, especially when I had to deal for a time with Windows networked computers in my company.

That said, I am increasingly concerned that Apple is losing its edge, focusing on annual iterations of the iPhone, iPad, Macs, Watches, etc. When was the last time Apple came out with a game changer? Jobs did not invent the smartphone but he perfected it for the masses and changed humanity. Same with the iPad and the Watch.

There are rumors of a car, but I don't think Apple will build it. They might partner or even buy an automaker, although the hurdles to enter that market are monstrous. But what new product lines will they create?

If you know the history of the International Business Machines, Inc., aka, IBM, it's surprising how they were able to survive given all the innovations they passed up because they felt secure in their business models at the time: photocopying, personal computers, and so on. Many more went out of business because they could not or would not innovate. Et tu, Apple?
