I am surprised by the readers who think that Jesus of Nazareth was not a historical person. His existence and death are attested to by several non-Christian sources. The gospels are 35 (Mark and John) to 60 years (Luke) after his death. Paul's letters begin around 20 years later and are well-attested archeologically.
