I am currently writing a second book on marriage, tentatively called "Thinking About Marriage? Think Again". Part of the book presents the rationale for marriage which has to include what you describe so powerfully here. I too went through it with my late wife, and now with my current wife as well.

I hope you will also write a book. And more importantly, I pray that it will come with the remission of Annie's cancer.
