Freedom of religion is a fundamental right, in particular, to be free from an official religion (any religion, including atheism). There are several contemporary examples of (a)theocracies in which both the official religion and the state are corrupted and become dictatorships.

As for the Second Amendment, it is important to remember that until recently, the regulation of weapons and their use was current from colonial times on.
