Fear of sin and its hellish consequences are part of a form of mind control that denies the gospel. It is worth pointing out that Muslims share the same fear: Sheeran (Satan) seems much closer than Allah, always trying to trick people into disobedience.

For preachers it is certainly tempting to exercise this kind of power over people, but that is the hellish sin.
