Once upon a time — in fact, in No-time — the Source extended Being to No-thing. What had been without being now existed. No-thing became Thing, an uncountable number of things in Time, in fact, sharing in the Being of the Source.
And they moved, those things. From one point in No-where, they exploded into Light, into Energy; they swirled, they orbited, they sped on, they raced out, they crashed in. The Source guided, without guiding: the things followed Rules of the Game that the Source had set as a condition of sharing Being.
Billions and billions of stars (sorry, Carl Sagan) began to burn, and a great many formed galaxies — all following one of the Rules, namely, Gravity. Around many stars coalesced rings of Stuff, which Gravity sorted into various forms, including planets. One such planet, orbiting a two-bit star in the butt end of an ordinary galaxy, had just the Right Stuff so that some things could come into life. The nonliving Stuff became living things that for a more or less brief time became nonliving again.
There may have been others planets with living Stuff; there may yet be. But on that planet, named Earth (that is,“dirt”), things came to a head, so to speak: living things began to think. They wonder about a myriad of questions, like “what the heck happened?” and “who am I and who are you, again?”. They…
