A lot of snark in these replies... You do not specify which churches these young while men are flocking to— if indeed there are flocks of them.

It seems to me that if someone begins to ask such questions of "ultimate concern", that is unequivocally a good thing. The answers are what matters. Joining a church that reaffirms your prejudices is one kind of answer: stop asking questions and get comforted. Joining a church that practices asking questions, not only tolerating but encouraging it, is something else entirely.

The litmus test? Does a church try to help you practice loving your enemies? Or hate them?

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’" Plenty of so-called churches preach that. "But I tell you, love your enemies…" I don't think it can be clearer.
